Are you a bully?

Being a bully can hurt people's feelings and make them feel bad. It's important to know if you are a bully so you can work to change your behavior. Here are some things to keep in mind when checking if you are a bully:

1.) Ask yourself some questions: Take some time to think about your behavior. Ask yourself questions like, "Do I say mean things to other people?" or "Do I try to control or boss other people around?"

2.) Think about how others see you: It's important to think about how other people see you. Do they seem afraid or upset around you? Do they seem uncomfortable or unhappy when you're around?

3.) Listen to what others say: Sometimes, people might tell you that you're being a bully. It's important to listen to what they say and take it seriously.

4.) Look at your actions: Take a look at what you do and how you behave. Do you push or hit others? Do you make fun of others or spread rumors about them?

If you find that you are a bully, it's important to take steps to change your behavior. Here are some things you can do:

○ Apologize: If you have hurt someone, apologize to them sincerely.

○ Make amends: Take steps to make things right. This might mean doing something nice for the person you hurt or finding a way to help them.

○ Change your behavior: Work to change your behavior and stop being a bully. Be kind and respectful to others and try to put yourself in their shoes.

○ Get help: Talk to a trusted adult, like a teacher, counselor, or parent, for help and support.

Remember, it takes courage to admit that you might be a bully, but it's an important step in making things right. By taking steps to change your behavior, you can help make the world a kinder and better place.
